Dani Lehman
At age 17, when most girls her age were preparing for dinner dates and parental escorts, Dani Lehman was busy trading her only prom dress and corsage for a pair of headphones, a crate of records, some skinny jeans, and an electronic dream. Before she was even legally allowed inside a nightclub, Dani broke into the scene as a respectable and upcoming dj known not only for being extremely talented, but also for her positive spirit and refusal to be afraid to throw it down when called upon; As a barely legal, uniquely talented young teen on the musical edge of the 21st century breaking down the stereotypes of the scene one beat at a time⦠her passion for dark sexy tech house music was the Romeo that, to her, was the art and love behind the music that drove it all home. Captivated by what she saw as a world driven by a beat with dark emotion, Dani Lehman built her name from the bottom of the underground warehouses of Philadelphia as a teen, to the top of the main room Pacha NYC and Winter Music Conference in Miami as a young adult. With no intention of stopping, Dani quickly moved her way up in the community and now plans to expand her talents in the studio and throughout the international dj world as a whole. As her career continues to grow, Dani remains true to the local spots she loves the most, loyal to but standing out among her peers as a DJ with a strong history and an even stronger future. After skipping prom night, Dani Lehman went on to win an amateur dj competition at Shampoo nightclub in Philadelphia. Following Shampoo she began to make an impression on the Philadelphia dance music scene at a remarkably young age, playing alongside the likes of Lance Blaise, Thomas Colontonio, and Gabriel Ben at such venues as 114, Emerald City, Transit, Fluid, XO Lounge, and numerous underground warehouse parties. This exposure combined with frequent appearances at Winter Music Conference in Miami helped Dani catch the eyes of top NYC promoters. After having the chance to throw down and show her skills alongside Frank Chiarello in Miami, it wasn't long before she was pulled into the NYC underground scene, making her official debut appearance at Love nightclub. Soon enough she was already making her mark on the big apple and becoming a familiar face in the NYC nightclub scene, continuing to define the sound that is her name: Dani Lehman.
New York City became an artistic breeding ground and networking opportunity for Dani, which she utilized to full potential with repeat appearances at top NYC nightclubs like Love, Pacha, Rebel, Water Taxi, and regular gigs at Sullivan Room, including an infamous blowout midnight-spot NYE show to bring in 2010. It was during this New York transition when Dani found her true voice and love for minimal tech house music⦠a sound that has been her musical forte and passion ever since. Since then, Dani has teamed up with fellow dj and close friend Keryn, together headlining events all across NJ and Philadelphia. Refusing to settle down, the two dazzling dj's went on to establish Break Bookings, a female booking agency featuring some of the finest female talents in the tri-state area. Together they worked towards integrating female talent into the dj community, ensuring that each talent be provided the proper exposure, time slots, and partnership opportunities that every starving Diva in the industry not only deserves, but needs. This, combined with securing a monthly radio show on Di.fm, and special guest appearances on Frisky and Proton radio, led Dani Lehman's name to buzz across the tri-state scene, quickly leading to yet even more success...
